A little drizzle couldn’t stop John and Tina’s picture perfect wedding from going off without a hitch. This October celebration at the beautiful Chesapeake Bay Beach Club on Kent Island was supposed to be held outside, but the weather wasn’t too cooperative. Not to worry! The team at the resort had it all under control. They moved the ceremony indoors to the Beach House Ballroom, so everyone could stay dry and still enjoy views of the bay in the background.

Even with the change, John and Tina were all smiles. And during breaks in the weather, they were able to get outside for a few private moments with brilliant photographer Dani Leigh. A rainy day may not have been ideal for the ceremony, but it sure made for good photo lighting!

Maryland wedding DJ Jordan got the ceremony started with the bridal party entrance, accompanied by covers of All You Need is Love and With a Little Help From My Friends covered by the Guitar Tribute Players. Then Tina made her grand entrance to A Thousand Years by The Piano Guys. After the ceremony, the newly minted Mr. and Mrs. left the ballroom under a chorus of cheers and Homecoming by Josh Ritter.

During cocktail hour, the staff flipped the ballroom to prepare for the reception, while the guests enjoyed snacks and sipped cocktails. DJ Jordan kept the vibe chill but upbeat, with music by Zac Brown Band, The Beatles, various Motown artists, and the Beach Boys.

When it was time to welcome the bridal party into the reception, the mood was set with Marry You by Bruno Mars. And for the bride and groom’s big entrance, they chose Can’t Stop the Feeling by Justin Timberlake.

The happy couple danced their first to I Am Yours by Andy Grammer. There were definitely a few tears among the guests during this part…

I was free falling through the open sky

'Til you smiled at me and you saved my life and I

Knew I was put here to love you

You got the universe swimming in your eyes

I’m an open book when you look in mine

You'll find that I was put here to love you

Then it was time for the parent dances. Tina and her father danced to I Loved Her First by Heartland. Then John and his mother danced to It’s Your World Now by the Eagles. This is a great parent dance choice, and we don’t hear it too often!

When DJ Jordan opened up the dance floor, he got to play with quite a few musical genres! The couple had added songs by The Beatles, Calvin Harris, Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond, The Supremes, and more to their list. The party was a great blend of country, pop, soul, and oldies that kept the crowd dancing all night.

For the last song, the couple chose Old Crow Medicine Show’s Wagon Wheel for a feel-good dose of Americana to round out the night.

John and Tina’s Chesapeake Bay Beach Club wedding was a blast, and we were so thrilled to bring the party to their big day! Here’s what Tina had to say about her experience with DJ Jordan:

“He read the crowd perfectly and got everyone dancing, even those that don’t normally dance. His website and process for making song recommendations prior to the wedding is seamless - with just a few recommendations from us as well as crowd sourced requests from our guests, Jordan created a playlist that was spot on from the cocktail hour through the reception. He helped make the day run smoothly and provided a lot of great advice leading up to the day. He was so proactive, fun and friendly with us during the wedding; we had guests asking if we knew him beforehand. We will be listening to the Spotify playlist he created for us for years to come! Thank you Jordan!!”

Thank YOU Tina and John!
