Christine and Brad’s beautiful D.C wedding was the perfect mix of eclectic and elegant. After a gorgeous first look, and a flawless ceremony, the reception was a huge hit! We helped the couple choose the perfect indie playlist to help set a mood for their guests that would be fun, but classic and relaxing. The venue overlooked the Navy Yard in D.C and was on the first beautiful spring day of the year, so we were really excited to get to be a part of their Big Day!

Even though at Maryland’s DJ we’re the more about the after party, we love a good first look! And what a look theirs was! Erin Kespan Photography&Kemp Collective did such a wonderful job — we can just feel the love between them! One of the major benefits of a first look is being able to take the rest of the photos before the ceremony, which means you have more time for the reception, and your guests aren’t kept waiting.

An intimate gathering of the bride and groom’s closest friends and family, the ceremony was a perfect balance of modern and elegant. We absolutely loved this location, which overlooked the Navy Yard in D.C., and was really romantic. The arbor Christine and Brad chose was a simple and modern rose gold metal frame, perfectly accented with floral arrangements that almost gave a woodsy feel. It was simple, classic and absolutely breathtaking.

After the ceremony, the bride and groom made their grand entrance and had their first dance. Speeches were made by their friends and family, and then the real party began!

The couple’s entrance song was the perfect way to get everyone in the mood for dancing — Your Love’s Whore by Wolf Alice was a great choice!

Christina and Brad’s first dance was set to Lately by Polica. It matched the scene and mood of the reception to a tee and really got the evening started.

The beautiful March weather and fantastic views from the venue’s balcony made for an absolutely perfect evening. The venue had fireplaces outside, so guests could enjoy the view, sip champagne, and catch up with friends. Inside, the dance floor was so much fun! Everyone had the best time celebrating with Christine and Brad.

We put a lot of energy into selecting music that fits the individual style of each of our clients and feel so honored that Christine and Brad allowed us to be a part of their big day. We believe that every wedding should be tailored to fit each couple’s specific style. Maryland’s DJ can make your wedding day absolutely perfect. Let’s get started!
