Stone Ridge Hollow Reception Space

Stone Ridge Hollow is the perfect wedding venue for the couple that loves the countryside. With rolling green fields, two ponds, and a beautiful barn for dancing the night away, this bucolic event space shows off rustic elegance at every turn.

Located just an hour from Baltimore, an hour and a half from Philadelphia, and under two hours from Washington DC, a Stone Ridge Hollow wedding is an ideal country getaway for friends and family from all over the Mid Atlantic.

Cue the Photographer!

Photographer Valerie Michelle is in love with love. She’s made an art out of snapping the most tender and touching of moments at weddings, like these heart-warming pictures of Sidney and Zach at Stone Ridge Hollow.

“Stone Ridge Hollow is truly an amazing venue,” Valerie says. “I absolutely love that they have two ponds on-site for the ceremony backdrop and portraits. And if you catch them in the right season, they have a field of Black-Eyed Susans! They have a beautiful house on the property as well — big enough for both the bride and groom to get ready in — filled with fun vintage decor and a huge reception barn newly renovated and perfect for a reception of any size. The team that runs wedding days at Stone Ridge Hollow makes the day seamless and easy, allowing every couple to relax and enjoy every second of their big day.”

About Stone Ridge Hollow

Stone Ridge Hollow’s venue space is a 3,250 square foot barn. The barn interior is almost entirely open, giving you plenty of options for setup and layout. The reception can be held in the barn after a pond-side ceremony, or the whole event can take place inside the barn in cold or rainy weather.

The entire space is clad in light wood, from floor to ceiling. Massive beams hold up the lofted roof, and the space is flooded with light from large windows and glass-paned doors. At night, rustic chandeliers and string lights suffuse the space with a warm glow, lighting up the dance floor for a wild party.

There’s also a separate 1,300 square foot “bonus area” with a custom granite bar top and saloon-style swivel stools.

But the highlight of this Harford County wedding venue is the land. Situated on a 125-acre farm in Forest Hill, Maryland, the barn is surrounded by lush grassland, trees, and two ponds that make for excellent photo backdrops. Valerie Michelle clients Lauren and Thomas took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather at their September wedding to get plenty of photos in front of the natural vista.

Guests can enjoy the views from a covered stone patio up at the barn, while the bridal party gets ready in the 3-bedroom farmhouse on site.

A Stone Ridge Hollow wedding is elegant but unfussy, classic but warm. No wonder it’s a 2020 WeddingWire Couple’s Choice Award venue.

There are a few extras at this venue, too, like a day-of coordinator to herd vendors and keep everyone on schedule. Plus they have a “Vintage Shoppe” where couples can add rustic touches like arches and arbors, wine barrels, and other antique furnishings to the space for their special day.
