With so many beautiful historic buildings in the area, it’s no wonder there’s a wealth of wonderful wedding venues in Maryland.

At the base of the Catoctin Mountains, Antrim 1844 is a Maryland wedding mansion on a lush 24-acre estate, complete with manicured lawns and rose gardens. The main building is in the Greek revival style, with its symmetrical facade and signature columns. At 17,000 square feet, there’s plenty of room here for the whole wedding party!

Cue the photographer!

Local photographer Dani Leigh loves to shoot weddings here at Antrim 1844. She calls the grounds at Antrim “photographer heaven.” It’s easy to see how much she loves this venue, from how lovingly she captures the special moments that take place here. Just look at the dreamy photos from Hailey and Matt’s Antrim 1844 wedding! Their floral arch was a work of art, and the rainy sendoff was magical.

Couple Suzy and Matt took advantage of the many different photo ops throughout Antrim’s beautiful gardens. They took pictures in the private Secret Garden, under the branches of an ancient elm tree. And the whole wedding party joined in for photos by the sparkling pool.

Weddings at the Mansion

Antrim 1844 is one of the best wedding venues in Maryland with its fresh greenery and bronze fountains. Ceremonies can be held in the formal English Tea Rose Garden under an arch draped with flowers. Or they could take place in the bright, sunny glass pavilion, comfortable in all weather conditions. It was perfect for Susie and Arri’s rainy Sunday wedding!

A cocktail hour could be held in the mansion’s classic drawing rooms with 14-foot ceilings. Or if the weather is nice, it could take place in the formal gardens just outside the mansion. For dinner and dancing, the glass pavilion provides shelter and plenty of space for tables and a dance floor.

This Maryland garden wedding venue also specializes in more private weddings. On weekdays, you can book an Intimate Wedding package, for just family and close friends. That’s what Crystal and Jacob did, complete with a sitdown dinner inside the mansion.

They also offer “Just for Two” wedding packages, so you can have an intimate ceremony in private. Perfect for a romantic elopement!

Keep your friends close

Each wedding package at Antrim comes with overnight accommodations for the bride and groom. And with a total of 40 guest rooms both in the mansion and in the surrounding outbuildings, there’s space for everyone who needs to be nearby on the big day.

There’s plenty to do at this beautiful property, too. Guests can lounge by the pool, or take a day trip to Gettysburg for sightseeing. It’s only a 20-minute drive from this Maryland wedding mansion.

And of course, there’s the Smokehouse Restaurant. This award-winning fine dining restaurant serves contemporary American cuisine in a six-course prix fixe menu. It was recently named the Best Historic Restaurant in America!
