In Central Maryland, we’re lucky to have so many stunning wedding venues to choose from. And one of our favorites at Maryland’s DJ is Evergreen Museum & Library. 

Evergreen is a Baltimore wedding venue with a pedigree. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this Italianate mansion on 26 gorgeous acres has old-world glamour in spades. 

And no one is better at capturing all that beauty than one of our favorite local photographers, Dani Leigh. 

“I love photographing weddings at Evergreen,” says Dani. “I love the sprawling green lawn, the beautiful archways, the light behind you when you walk down the aisle. There are endless picture taking spots and even more I haven't had a chance to get to yet.”

Baltimore Wedding Heaven

With so much space at Evergreen, you have several location choices for your Baltimore wedding. There are both indoor and outdoor sites for your ceremony, like in front of the stone fountain or in the rustic Carriage House. There is also limited availability for tented events out in the gardens. 

The paved terrace in the shadow of the mansion and overlooking the grounds is perfect for cocktail hour. Wrought iron railings and original Tiffany glass will make you and your guests feel like they’ve stepped into another time. 

The Carriage House is an ideal location for your post-ceremony reception. The tented patio highlights the rich green doors and the building’s rustic stone. It has room for 170 of your nearest and dearest to sit down to dinner. And inside, there’s plenty of air-conditioned space for dancing the night away to tunes from the best local DJs. ;-)

If you choose Evergreen as your Maryland wedding venue, you’ll be in good company! This historic spot was the home of the Garrett family who made their fortune as merchants and railroad investors in the 1800s.
