Maryland's DJ provides wedding DJs for Elkton and the rest of Cecil County. Your DJ plays the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, serves as MC, and can add uplighting and a photo booth. We have played six weddings at Rosewood Farms, from Rustic Barn ceremonies to Rose Barn receptions.
Elkton sits at the top of the Chesapeake Bay, close to the Delaware line, and it draws couples from Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania. We bring the music, the sound system and an MC who keeps your day on track, so you can spend the night with your guests.

First, a free planning call so we can hear what you have in mind.
Then you choose your must-play songs and your do-not-play list in our online planning portal, and your DJ builds the timeline with you: ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing.
On the wedding day your DJ arrives early, sets up, and handles the announcements.

Birthday parties, anniversaries, school events and company celebrations all need the right music. We plan them with the same care as a wedding.
Tell us who will be in the room and what you want the night to feel like, and we will take it from there.
Uplighting and dance floor lighting can transform a barn, a ballroom or a backyard tent. We match the colors to your event and change the mood as the night goes on.
Our photo booths are easy for guests to use and popular with every age group. They are a simple way to add something memorable to your event.
Places we have played or written about in and around Elkton.
A modern barn venue on 44 acres of farmland, with a pond, a fountain and two renovated barns. Most indoor ceremonies are in the Rustic Barn, whitewashed inside with huge windows on all sides, and the reception is in the Rose Barn: 6,000 square feet, 20 foot ceilings with rough wood beams, a stone fireplace and room for up to 275 guests. We have written up six weddings here. Kaitlyn and Jon had 140 guests, a Rustic Barn ceremony and a dance floor full of 2010s hits with DJ Brian. DJ Steve Hartka played the other five, from Matthew and Allison's July wedding, our first at the venue, to Marissa and Jack's April wedding with white uplighting in the Rose Barn.

Read the venue guideYes. Maryland's DJ has played weddings here, including at Rosewood Farms, one of our favorite Maryland wedding venues. We bring the music, the sound system and an MC who keeps your day on track, so you can spend the night with your guests.
Yes. Read Matthew and Allison's July wedding (our first at the venue), Sara and Michael's spring wedding, Rebecca and Bill's January wedding, Rachel and Ryan's wedding, Marissa and Jack's April wedding and Kaitlyn and Jon's wedding. All six couples held the ceremony in the Rustic Barn and the reception in the Rose Barn.
The property has two barns, so the day moves. Couples can say their vows in the Rustic Barn and head to the Rose Barn for the reception, or hold the ceremony outdoors under the two pear trees or at the edge of the pond. Cocktail hour can use the lawn or the patios off each barn. Because the barns are clean and simple, the venue is not limited to country-style weddings: glam, boho, vintage, traditional and minimalist weddings all fit. Read our Rosewood Farms venue guide, with an interview with the venue's own Emily Simmons.
Yes. We can help with ceremony, cocktail hour and reception music. At Rebecca and Bill's wedding the ceremony was in the Rustic Barn, DJ Steve played a contemporary country mix outside during cocktail hour, and the reception was in the Rose Barn. At Marissa and Jack's wedding, cocktail hour moved to the lower level of the Rustic Barn and the patio under the covered pergola before the party started in the Rose Barn.
Yes. Rebecca and Bill's wedding was in January, with the ceremony in the Rustic Barn and the Ravens playoff game on the big screen in the Rose Barn during the reception. Matthew and Allison married in July and held their ceremony inside the Rustic Barn, which is climate controlled; the Rose Barn is air conditioned too.
Yes, lots of couples do. Rachel and Ryan asked DJ Steve Hartka for Bridgerton vibes at the ceremony, with string versions of modern songs, then swung country for the reception. Rebecca and Bill started with country for cocktail hour and the first dances, and the party turned towards hip-hop once the dance floor opened. For ideas, see our top country wedding songs.
Yes. Elkton draws couples from Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania, and the requests show it. At Marissa and Jack's wedding the father of the bride asked for Oh, Dem Golden Slippers by the Ferko String Band, the theme of the Philadelphia Mummers Parade and a nod to the bride's Philadelphia roots, and it got the crowd moving. Sara is Irish and Michael is Brazilian, and their guests danced for three hours to disco, hip hop, pop, rock and a little salsa.
Uplighting and dance floor lighting can transform a barn, a ballroom or a backyard tent. At Rachel and Ryan's wedding we brought white uplighting into the Rose Barn for a romantic dinner, then color changing lights once the dance floor opened. Marissa and Jack chose white uplighting with candles and white roses. Couples at Rosewood Farms can also add dancing on clouds for the first dance or a CO2 cannon for the dance floor. See event lighting.
