Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay has a variety of gorgeous spaces for ceremonies and receptions. What we love about these ceremony sites is that while they’re stunning on their own, they also leave plenty of room for couples to make them fit their vision. 

Manor Lawn is the most popular site at the hotel for ceremonies, with room for up to 500 guests. With its expansive view of the bay, it’s a classic, timeless spot for couples to say their vows. 

The Breakwater Pavilion may be the most unique ceremony site. Located at the end of the pier, this all white pavilion lets couples hold their ceremonies surrounded by sparkling blue water on all sides. How about a bridal entrance by sea?

The Regatta Pavilion is another sensational location for ceremony or reception. This covered pavilion is open on all sides, with sweeping white drapery to create a beachy enclosure for you and up to 300 guests.

The venue also has an infinity pool site, ideal for receptions with river views. And at the Grand Fireplace, the stone fireplace makes a lovely backdrop for the ceremony, with the Choptank River flowing right behind. 

Inside the hotel, there are two grand ballrooms where weather and temperature can be held at bay. Both spaces have lovely chandeliers, and they can become a blank canvas for your custom wedding vision with drapery and uplighting. 

Beyond the locations and services offered for weddings, this space is also a full-service resort. The wedding party and their guests can play 18 holes of golf, spend a day getting pampered at the spa, and enjoy Eastern Shore seafood at the on-site restaurant. Plus, they’re dog friendly! We asked Brianna Guzman, event coordinator at the resort, to share some of her favorite wedding experiences with us, and she did not disappoint! Brianna and the whole Hyatt team love to help couples make their dreams come true on their special day. There’s no request too big!

What is the most unusual or unexpected wedding you've ever had at your venue?

The most unexpected experience I’ve had is when I was literally opening the doors for a bride to walk down the aisle with her father...she turns to me and says, “I forgot the ring!”

What's the wildest thing a couple has ever asked for?

I can’t think of the wildest things because when I get wild and unique ideas, I get so excited and want to find any way possible to say yes! Elephants, helicopters, entrance or exit by boat, hawks delivering wedding rings, or impromptu surprise videos from multiple famous NFL players congratulating the couple — just to name a few!

What's the best "little kid moment" you've seen at a wedding?

Probably when my bride and groom got a surprise video projected on the reception screens from their two favorite NFL players saying congratulations!

What's one thing you wish people knew about running a wedding or event venue? 

That when you’re in this industry, usually that means your heart is in a place of love, compassion, and enjoyment in other people’s happiness. So when I tell you everything will be okay, trust me, we will figure it out! I do this for a living, it will all be okay.
