Every couple dreams of the perfect wedding weather for their outdoor ceremonies. Bright blue skies. A gentle breeze. Perhaps a few fluffy white clouds in the distance. Unfortunately, they don’t always get it.

But the weather gods smiled on Chad and Cassie’s wedding day in early June. Their waterfront ceremony at Celebrations at the Bay in Pasadena, Maryland seemed custom ordered for these two lovebirds. Look at that sky!

(It wasn’t our first time at Celebrations at the Bay! Check out Allayne & Stephen’s wedding at the same venue!)

Onsite to capture the magic was wedding photographer Mary Ella Jourdak. Mary Ella says her photos are for those who want “all of the fun and none of the fuss,” and she delivers!

Just a short drive south of Baltimore, this venue takes advantage of beautiful views across the Chesapeake Bay. One of their most popular ceremony sites is just at the water’s edge, where a white wrought-iron arch provides an anchor point for the couple. The arch can be “dressed up” with garlands and flowers, or turned into a chuppah with a drape of fabric. Chad and Cassie chose to give the arch a swag of white fabric and two big bunches of white flowers for a little added romance.

Chad and Cassie got their event started with the help of love song troubadour, Ed Sheeran. The parents and grandparents made their entrance to Daniel Jang’s violin and piano cover of Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud. Then for Cassie’s entrance, they used Taylor Davis’ violin cover of Sheeran’s Perfect. Thanks Ed!

After the ceremony, Chad and Cassie high-tailed it back down the aisle as husband and wife to Love Someone by Brett Eldredge. (By the way, if you haven’t seen this video before for Love Someone, stop what you’re doing and watch it right now.)

The whole party headed for the outdoor covered deck for cocktails and mingling before the reception. Chad and Cassie requested “Old skool country love” for their playlist, with artists like  George Strait, Garth Brooks, and Randy Travis. Pasadena wedding DJ Mike Q was happy to deliver!

After a cocktail interlude, the celebration moved into the Tented Vista Ballroom—a permanent climate-controlled tent at the site with a silk-lined ceiling and glittering chandeliers. This is no clumsy canvas tent!

The wedding party and the happy couple made their entrance with gusto to Turn Down for What by DJ Snake and Lil Jon.

Then Chad and Cassie danced their first dance as a married couple to This is It by Scott McCreery. Next, Cassie danced with her stepfather to My Wish by Rascal Flatts, and Chad danced with his mom to A Song for Mama by Boyz II Men. Both classics!

When the dance floor opened, it got rowdy! DJ Mike Q said that it was a great party, with wild dancing and an energetic crowd. That’s what a wedding DJ likes to see!

It was our honor to be part of Chad and Cassie’s big day, and to turn up the heat on their dance floor.

And if you’re planning a wedding—whether on the Chesapeake Bay or anywhere else in Maryland, Washington, DC, or Nothern Virginia, we can help. Contact us today to check our schedule and get matched with the right DJ for your special day.
