Zephan and Mollye shared a beautiful wedding ceremony in May 2019, and we got to be a part of it! This sweet couple, so full of love and laughter, said their vows at the Historic London Town and Gardens near Annapolis, Maryland. The venue, the day, and every single detail was absolutely perfect for this outdoor summer wedding. We loved getting to work with Mollye and Zephan and be part of their special day.

The ultra-talented Sarah Price of Sarah Price Photography was on-hand to capture all the magic of the day in her moody signature style. Based out of Baltimore, her photos are always Instagram-perfect!

For the ceremony’s musical choices, the couple went with some lovely pop covers. The bridal party entered to A Thousand Years by The Piano Guys, which is a popular choice. Then the bride’s procession was to Tyler Ward & Boyce Avenue’s acoustic cover of Coldplay’s Fix You, which we loved!

The ceremony was held on the banks of the South River in Annapolis. With a bit of mist rolling in off the river and fresh eucalyptus hanging from the chuppah, it was a picturesque place to say their vows and break the glass.

Another lovely cover accompanied the recessional. This time it was Daniel Jang’s piano and violin cover of Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran.

While many couples just ask for a general “vibe” during cocktail hour, Zephan and Mollye had some specific requests that their Annapolis wedding DJ was happy to honor! Among their choices were Rhythm of Love by Plain White T’s and When the Sun Goes Down by Kenny Chesney.

The reception was held in Historic London Town & Garden’s glass pavilion, which is lined on three sides by glass doors and windows to let light stream in. The bridal party intro got everyone fired up to the tune of Bring Em Out by TI, followed by the happy couple’s first introduction to Walk the Moon’s Shut Up and Dance

For the first dance, Mollye and Zephan picked Yours by Russell Dickerson. Then, Mollye and her father danced to Just the Way You Are by Billy Joel, which we’re actually surprised we don’t see more in parent dances at weddings! Then for another delightfully unexpected choice, Zephan and his mom danced to Boyce Avenue’s cover of Green Day’s Good Riddance.

We loved Mollye and Zephan’s use of covers at their wedding. By choosing covers of famous pop songs, they were able to use recognizable tunes in an unexpected way, and keep the guest’s guessing.

After dinner, the couple handed the reins over to their Annapolis wedding DJ to electrify the dance floor! With white and amber uplighting and a thorough list of “must-play” and “do not play” songs, Maryland’s DJ had a solid idea of what the couple would like. While the “official” music choices swung country, their dance floor preferences included more pop and hip hop.

Some of the highlights:

The dance floor got so intense, the groom almost had a mishap during the Hora! But Mollye had a good grip on him, and the groomsmen held him aloft.

When it was all over, we had a joyful couple and some worn out (but happy) guests.
