How do you ensure that most of the world celebrates with you on your wedding anniversary every year?

Easy. You get married on New Year’s Eve. Savvy couple Amanda and Bradley knew what they were up to when they chose December 31st, 2021 for their wedding date. All those fireworks? Parties? Champagne? That’s all for them, helping them to celebrate their love. Or at least, it will feel like it is.

Amanda and Bradley, along with 150 of their nearest and dearest, gathered at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel for their NYE bash. This beautiful hotel on the inner harbor has gorgeous waterfront views and chic modern ballrooms. For this wedding, the spaces were done up to perfection by Partridge Avenue Events, a creative planning company for Virginia, Washington D.C., and Baltimore weddings. And one of our favorite local photographers, Dani Leigh, was on hand to make sure the photos did the space—and the lovely couple—justice. And we’d say she delivered, as usual.

The ceremony took place in the Watertable Ballroom, in front of floor-to-ceiling windows with the harbor glittering beyond. Even their best friends turned out to show support!

After the ceremony, the party moved to the Maryland Ballroom for the reception. The space was decorated with evergreen trees lit up with twinkle lights, and a big 2022 marquee sign to ring in the new year.

To welcome the wedding party and the bride and groom into the ballroom, the couple went full metal with Enter Sandman by Metallica. But they quickly switched things up, going country for their first dance to You’re Still the One by Shania Twain. After that, Amanda and her dad danced to Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrisson, and Bradley spun his mom around to I Hope You Dance by LeAnn Womack.

Dancing was the name of the game at this amazing wedding. The black and white checkered dance floor was occupied all night long, illuminated by colorful uplighting from Maryland’s DJ. Bradley went to a dance fraternity (yes, that’s a thing), so he and his buddies were doing choreographed dances throughout the entire event!

During breaks in the action, the guests headed over to the photobooth to take Kardashian-inspired photos in black and white. Very glam.

At midnight, everyone cheered to the new year and to the new husband-and-wife with champagne and confetti canons! And for the last song of the night, Maryland wedding DJ Jordan played Taylor Swift’s 22, at the couple’s request. (Get it? Because it was New Year’s Eve, leading into 2022? Love it.)

What a photo, right?? This NYE wedding party was fun and fabulous, just like Amanda and Bradley. It was the perfect way to put 2021 behind us and ring in 2022.
